Melt Filtration Disc Filter Element

Melt filtration discs, also known as disc filters, are applied in the filtration of high-viscosity melts. Their disc-type design enables an extremely large effective filtration area per cubic meter, realizing efficient space utilization and miniaturization of filtration devices. The main filter media adopt stainless steel fiber felt or stainless steel sintered mesh.

Features: Melt filtration discs can withstand high and uniform pressure; they have stable filtration performance, can be cleaned repeatedly, and feature high porosity and long service life.

Melt filtration discs are classified into two categories. By material, they are divided into: stainless steel fiber felt and stainless steel sintered mesh. By structure, they are divided into: soft seal (center ring edge-wrapped type) and hard seal (center ring welded type). Besides, welding a bracket on the disc is also an optional choice. Among the above types, stainless steel fiber felt has the advantages of large dirt-holding capacity, strong service cycle and good air permeability; the biggest advantages of stainless steel sintered mesh filter media are high strength and impact resistance, but with low dirt-holding capacity.
